Alyson Hannigan and husband Alexis Denisof were all smiles as they walk the red carpet at the 2010 People’s Choice Awards at Los Angeles’ Nokia Theatre yesterday night (January 6).
Alyson, who wore a strapless black gown, took home the award for Favorite TV Actress for her work on How I Met Your Mother!
“I want to thank everybody who voted for me,” Alyson said during her acceptance speech, “especially for my mom, who I think got carpal tunnel from voting so many times!”
Aly also thanked, “most importantly, my two favorite people – my husband and my baby girl [Satyana] – thank you for everything!”

When we first embarked on Ted’s quest for love in 2005, I don’t think anyone had the foggiest idea exactly how dynamic an actress “How I Met Your Mother” had discovered in Cobie Smulders. Sure, she was wicked hot, but in the ensuing five years we’ve seen so many different sides of Robin Scherbatsky, I’m convinced a weaker actress would have gotten whiplash.
It’s rare that such a remarkable physical comedian could inhabit the same body as a top-notch dramatic actress and an iTunes-able pop star. Speaking of Sparkles, I wasn’t surprised to find out that playing Robin’s one-time pop star persona is Cobie’s favorite thing to do, but I was shocked to learn that the actress hasn’t always agreed with Robin’s romantic rationale!

It’s been a winter of milestones for Carrie Underwood!
First, the country singer got engaged to hunky hockey player Mike Fisher. Next, she will make her acting debut on an upcoming episode of How I Met Your Mother.
Underwood will play Tiffany, an enigmatic pharmaceutical sales rep and love interest for Ted (played by Josh Radnor), in an episode scheduled to air in March.
The CBS comedy series celebrates its 100th episode on Jan. 11, when Stacy Keibler will join the show as a guest. That milestone will also mark the beginning of a guest arch for Rachel Bilson, who may or may not be The One.

According to the Associated Press, Christina Aguilera, Tom Hanks, and Neil Patrick Harris will present trophies to recipients at the annual gala.
These latest three stars join a growing list of presenters, including Jennifer Aniston, Sophia Loren, Julia Roberts, Halle Berry, Gerard Butler, Mickey Rourke, Mel Gibson, Robert De Niro, and Leonardo DiCaprio.
Hosted by funny-man Ricky Gervais, The 67th Annual Golden Globe Awards will air live January 17 on NBC from the Beverly Hilton.

Alyson Hannigan was out and about in Santa Monica on Sunday (January 3) with her adorable 9-month-old daughter Satyana. The tot stole the sunglasses off her mother face and threw her head back in pure joy as she played with mama’s shades in the gorgeous California sunshine.
